Most moving checklists begin weeks before relocation. But some of the most important mistakes happen during the final 24 hours.
By then, the packing may look complete, yet chargers are inside unknown boxes, the refrigerator still needs attention, important documents are mixed with household goods and nobody has checked where the moving vehicle will stop.
Here is a different checklist: what to do from the evening before your Jodhpur move until the moment the vehicle leaves.
The Evening Before: Create a “Do Not Load” Zone
Choose one corner, room or table and clearly separate everything that must travel with you.
Keep items such as:

Before Loading Starts
Walk through the property with the moving supervisor.
Point out fragile objects, items that need special handling and anything that should not be moved.
If furniture needs dismantling, confirm which pieces will also require reassembly.
During Loading
Avoid directing every worker separately. Keep communication through one responsible person where possible.
At the same time, retain your own basic inventory or box count.

Before leaving the pickup address, inspect:
bedrooms, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, balconies, bathrooms, utility spaces, lofts, drawers and parking/storage areas.
Then check electricity switches, taps, windows and doors as appropriate.

At the Destination
Before unloading begins, decide where major furniture and appliances should go.
Labelled boxes can be sent directly to the correct rooms instead of creating one giant pile in the living room.
Check important or fragile items as they arrive and report any concern through the agreed process promptly.
Final Thought
The last 24 hours should not be about packing everything at maximum speed. They should be about controlling the details that cannot easily be fixed once the truck has left.
