# The 100-Item Rule: Stop Saying “2 BHK” and Start Knowing What You Own
Imagine two families in Guwahati.
Both live in 2 BHK apartments.
Family A owns one sofa, two beds, basic appliances and 25 cartons of belongings.
Family B owns multiple wardrobes, a large dining set, several appliances, bookshelves, decorative items and 55 cartons.
Are these the same move?
Of course not.

Your BHK Is Not Your Inventory
The number of bedrooms describes the property.
It does not describe what needs to enter the moving vehicle.

Walk through your home and imagine that you need to describe the move in no more than 100 inventory lines.
Do not count every spoon.
Group small belongings sensibly.

You now have more than an inventory.

Use the Inventory to Declutter
For every uncertain item, add another mark:

There is little benefit in estimating transportation for belongings you already intend to leave behind.
Send the Same Inventory to Movers

The numbers may look comparable even though the service assumptions are different.
Consistent input makes comparison more meaningful.
Keep the Inventory for Delivery
Do not delete your list after receiving the quotation.
Update it after packing.
It can become a useful reference when household goods reach the destination.
A document created for pricing can therefore help through multiple stages of the move.
Your Phone Is Enough
You do not need specialist software.
A simple note can look like this:

Continue until the home is covered.
Photographs can supplement the list where useful.
Final Thought
“2 BHK” is convenient shorthand, but it is a poor description of a shipment.
A useful inventory can improve quotation discussions, highlight special packing requirements, help you remove unnecessary belongings and provide a reference at delivery.
